Changes to the Regulatory Control of Hormonal Growth Promotants (HGP)

MAF seeks submissions from all interested parties on the proposed issue of the Animal Products (Regulated Control Scheme – Hormonal Growth Promotants) Notice 2011, to replace the Animal Products (Regulated Control Scheme – Hormonal Growth Promotants) Notice 2009. MAF is interested in comments regarding the proposal to mandate the fitting of a tamperproof Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) tag at the time animals are implanted with a Hormonal Growth Promotant (HGP).
