Dairy Overseas Market Access Requirements (OMARs)

Get access to dairy OMARs for countries and markets that New Zealand has negotiated agreements with.

For information about OMARs – what they are and when you use them – refer to the Dairy market access (OMARs/FYIs) page in the left-hand menu.

Finding dairy OMARs

Countries and markets that have agreements with New Zealand for dairy material and dairy products entering their borders are listed in the box below.

Select a market using the dropdown arrow on the right to show all relevant OMARs.

Important notes:

  1. OMAR requirements are password-protected (password) as they may contain market-sensitive material. Those involved with exporting may apply to MPI for access.

  2. If you cannot find the market you are looking for, then no specific requirements have been negotiated with MPI at this time. It is your responsibility to check and comply with any requirements for markets not covered by an existing OMAR.
  3. OMARs may be added or updated from time to time. We recommend you sign up to receive Exporting updates by email.

Summary of dairy eligibility requirements

The spreadsheet below is a summary of test parameters and methods, flags for listing of premises and product registration requirements. This summary is intended to assist manufacturers, exporters and recognised agencies.

It is for guidance only. The spreadsheet will be updated from time to time, but will not always be up to date. MPI will not accept liability for any loss resulting from reliance on this information.

You must also consult the OMAR for the relevant country – these are always up to date and contain additional information not in the spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet also includes the attestations that appear on the MPI health certificates.
